Long-term head of the Professor Krwawicz Chair of Ophthalmology, Medical University of Lublin. Scholar of the Belgian Government in Ghent (1975-76; prof. François) and of the Humboldt Foundation in Erlangen (1985-86; prof. Naumann). Member of Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis 1991 -2002 (Chair XLVIII) and Board of the International Council of Ophthalmology(1994-2010).

In 1998, Professor Zbigniew Zagórski opened the first Eye Surgery Centre in Nałęczów, which began a period of over 20-year shaping of OCHO Medical Group on the polish market of ophthalmological services. Professor is an author of more than 200 scientific publications and editor of 5 ophthalmological books. He gave several hundred lectures on all the continents and performed demonstration and charity surgeries e.g. in China and India.

Professor Zagórski consults patients at all Eye Surgery Centres of OCHO Medical Group – Kraków, Nałęczów, Nowy Sącz and Rzeszów and at the ophthalmology office in Lublin. Aside from work at OCHO, Professor also cooperates with the Optegra Clinic in Warsaw.
