Know OCHO Nowy Sącz

We are the only centre which in Nowy Sącz performs procedures of retinal and vitreous surgery. Our services include comprehensive specialist consultations, diagnostic tests, outpatient procedures (including laser treatment of retina) and surgical procedures.  Since 2015, we have been treating whole families; we have both several-week infants and 100-year-old patients; so, they call us “family doctors” in Nowy Sącz. We have ophthalmological offices with extended diagnostic base, a modern operating suite with laminar air-conditioning, and a room of intensive supervision, as well as postoperative rooms with 10 beds for patients. At OCHO Nowy Sącz, we ensure modern comfort of treatment.

Highly qualified staff

The medical team of OCHO Nowy Sącz is composed of 3 doctors with MD, PhD degree and 7 doctors specialising in ophthalmology. We regularly cooperate with eminent doctors from Poland and abroad, for whom Professor Zbigniew Zagórski, the founder of the Eye Surgery Centres and our permanent consultant, is both personal and professional support.

*Additional information: – In special cases – if it is necessary to use vitrectomy, rings, suturing of artificial lens or pupilloplasty – prices will be established individually.- Complicated cataract, mature cataract, PEX, narrow pupil, posterior adhesions, after anti-glaucoma surgeries and/or glaucoma attack, high myopia or high hyperopia, age > 90, floppy iris syndrome (after prostate drugs), necessity to use refractors or pupil-dilating rings or intracapsular rings. – EDOF – extended depth of focus – unifocal lens with an effect of a bifocal lens with addition +1.5D – Posterior capsulorhexis is performed only by Prof. Takhtaev. It is especially recommended for young people, below 60 years of age, with premium lens implantation, and in all patients who want to avoid secondary cataract. In some patients, it may be contraindicated to perform posterior capsulorhexis. – Detailed information on particular types of lenses and their properties is provided by doctors during a qualification visit.
